Treatment of hidradenitis suppurativa with 755nm alexandrite laser hair removal

A new study (Sidhom S, Petry SU, Ward R, Daveluy S. Treatment of hidradenitis suppurativa with 755nm alexandrite laser hair removal: A randomized controlled trial. JAADIntern; Sep 2024, Vol 16: 239-243) demonstrated that the 755nm Alexandrite laser is effective in the treatment of hidradenitis suppurativa in over 70% of cases: the submammary region had the best result and apart from mild discomfort, none of the patients experienced any other problems.
This study demonstrated the safety and effectiveness of 755nm Alexandrite laser hair removal, which constitutes a significant advance for the management of patients with hidradenitis suppurativa in Athens, Crete, Kos, Heraklion, Chania, Rethymno, Agios Nikolaos, Ierapetra.
