Brachioplasty

As a person ages, upper arm skin can become loose and flabby. Ultrasound lipolysis (cavitation),cryolypolisis or mesotherapy by phosphotydilicholin/deoxycholate injections  may diminish the extra fat. The laxity of the skin can be improved by radiofrequencies (RF) but the best solution will be the arm lift. The brachioplasty can remove the excess skin and fat deposits, leaving the upper arms with a more pleasing and youthful contour.

The scar is usually well hidden at the apex of the axilla and can be conjucted with liposuction.

When there is laxity across the arm, the incision extends from the elbow to the underarm, and sometimes on to the side of the chest. The procedure can be done by general or topical anesthesia with sedation and the patient will be back to his/her daily activities after 5-6 days.
