Liposuction

Women and men who have topical fat that cannot get rid of through diet and exercise, are good candidates for liposuction. Liposuction can be also effective for cellulite through the sophisticated lipo-dissection and can be performed in many areas of the body: arms, abdomen, hips, thighs, calves, ankles and under the chin.

We will assess the tone and the elasticity of your skin and may ask you how areas of localised fat were affected by weight loss in the past. Under oral sedation (or Total Intravenous Sedation-TIVA) and through tiny incisions, small cannulas are inserted to anaesthetise the adipose tissue by topical anaesthesia using the Tumescent technique (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/2179348); the fat will be melted by laser (smart lipo, https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3140909/and will be removed using vibo-liposuction (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12016496). The high definition liposuction (high def lipo, https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/29878992) sculpts your body while removes fat, giving the definition of an athletic figure. The cutting edge technique is the "Reverse Aging High Def Lipo" combining high def lipo and cell tissue regeneration.

Butt augmentation has amazing results when the liposuction is combined with lipofiling at the buttocks (Brazilian Butt Lift/BBL, https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6212238/); if the patients have no fat at all, silicone implants or even better Poly-L-Lactic Acid can give nice shape to the buttocks.

Unusual complications include bleeding, infection or reaction to anaesthesia. Skin numbness is to be expected and is usually only temporary. Irregularities and laxity can occur that's why you have to wear garments for the first weeks postop in order your tissues to "learn" their new shape.

You can usually return to work in 4 days, though you may still have some swelling and bruising which usually subsides within a couple of weeks.
